The Accomodation

482655-300West Mead is a detached property of character located in Caswell on the boundaries of Mumbles and the Gower. The house has accommodation on three floors and gardens on three sides of the house, plus a long gated drive, which can accommodate four cars.

This is a spacious and airy house, which is maintained to high standards. All rooms have high ceilings and plenty of windows, which are the original sash style. The house is decorated in neutral colours with matching furnishings and is furnished with good quality equipment, furniture, fittings and artwork. There is gas central heating through out.

There is plenty of space for guests to relax and much to keep entertained, including a piano, Wi-Fi, and TVs, books, board games, music.


Ground floor

There are three reception rooms, in addition to a south facing conservatory, well fitted kitchen and a cloakroom. The ground floor area is mainly finished in wooden or stone tiled floors, with rugs provided. Front reception rooms have Axminster carpets.

The Lounge
The formal room, has two large and comfortable sofas as well as matching footstool and an armchair. This room is carpeted with a gas “real flame” fire. The Bang and Olufsen TV, in addition to the DVD player and VCR, provide plenty of evening entertainment. There are also some board games in the coffee table and a few DVDs in the TV cabinet.
Dining Room
Furnished to a high standard with quality solid wood furniture. This includes an oval shaped solid wood table which can seat 8; a Welsh dresser; and a sideboard. This room is carpeted.
There is also an upright piano which is available for use by guests.
Family Room

An airy “casual relaxation” room leading to the conservatory and the kitchen. Ideal for chilling out or just watching TV, or reading a book. The room has a gas fire, snug sofa and armchair. Many books and Sony TV.


Lovely (heated) place to relax and enjoy the sunshine, this room overlooks the rear garden and has patio doors on to the rear garden. We call it the “garden room”.

The large modern kitchen has stone tiles and under-floor heating whilst all work surfaces are finished in granite. With windows all round, this is a very airy and open place.The kitchen is equipped with high quality built-in German appliances, including NEF double electric oven/grill, NEF gas hob and extractor, Bosch fridge, NEF dishwasher, and microwave.
An electric kettle and toaster is provided and there is good quality cutlery as well as pots and pans.There is an extendable table that is ideal for that quick breakfast or snack.Music centre with DAB/FM radio, CD player, and i-pod dock.Access to rear garden and the deck. We use the front kitchen door as the main entrance and exit to the house.
Finished in a country cottage style décor, there is a washbasin and toilet as well as cupboard space and shelves.
Utility Room
With storage cupboard for boots, shoes, coats etc. Bosch double fridge/freezer, Miele washing machine, and Bosch dryer.

First Floor

There are three large bedrooms and the family bathroom on this floor.


Two rooms have king-sized double beds whilst the third has two single beds. Beds are all good quality and very comfortable. All rooms have Axminster carpets and each has a wardrobe and storage, including bedside tables and lights.


Large spacious bathroom with a seperate high quality overhead shower.

Top Floor

Large airy bedroom with Velux windows all the way down on the south side, with sea views. Double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is also a built-in wardrobe and storage.
